About this Site

Welcome to Boston100.net, the amateur diner's guide to the finest dining in the Metro-Boston area. Boston100 was launched in February 2006 with the goal of rating Boston's best restaurants from a non-gourmet's perspective. The site was designed and developed by local couple Mike & Kim Andrews, who presently reside in Watertown, Massachusetts. Mike and Kim are longtime Massachusetts residents whose favorite pastime is dining out in Boston. Together, they have been to well over 400 restaurants in the Metro-Boston area, and they try to get out to a new restaurant at least once a week.

Kim works as a trainer in the financial industry in South Boston. She was raised in Seekonk and attended Boston College. She has resided in quite a few places in Massachusetts, including Back Bay, Somerville, Acton, Newton, and Foxboro. She has also lived in Paris (France), Washington (DC), and Kansas City (MO). Her favorite meals include Thai Grilled Chicken Salad, Herb-Roasted Chicken with Summer Vegetables, and Filet Mignon, served medium well and butter-flied. However, she would eat ice cream for every meal if that was acceptable. She also loves to try an inventive amuse-bouche or an interesting appetizer.

Mike works as an attorney in Westwood, and has also freelanced as a web designer in the past. He was raised in Salem (NH), attended Ithaca College and the Northeastern University School of Law, and has also resided in Somerville, Haverhill, and Los Angeles (CA). His favorites include Shrimp Scampi, Broiled Lobster, and Filet Mignon Oscar-Style. His other indulgences include cheeseburgers, homemade Italian food, and chocolate. He'll try just about any food once as long as it doesn't involve pickles. If Mike and Kim find something they don't like, they can always just bring the leftovers home in a doggy bag for their pug Maurice.

While Mike and Kim have been to several area establishments, they have not been able to make it out to each of the top 100 eateries in the city. In order to pull the top 100 list together, they considered numerous opinions of area critics and friends. Some reviews were authored by friends, including Greg & Kristen Mullen, Jason & Alyson Goodrow, and Greg & Alisha Hanoian.

Greg & Kristen Mullen presently reside in Billerica. Greg works in the insurance industry in Lexington, and previously worked for several years in Back Bay. He was raised in Salem (NH), attended Lyndon State College, and has also resided in Arlington, Somerville, and Montreal (Canada). Kristen Mullen works in the financial industry in downtown Boston. She attended the University of Vermont, and has also resided in Arlington, Burlington (VT), Portsmouth (NH), Arizona, and Florida.  Greg and Kristen's favorites include Grilled Lobster, Chicken Piccata, and Grilled Pork Tenderloin.

Jason & Alyson Goodrow presently reside in Roslindale. Jason works in marketing and Alyson works in public relations. They were both raised in Malone, New York. Jason attended Ithaca College and has also lived in several Massachusetts neighborhoods and Los Angeles. Alyson graduated from Siena College and has spent significant time in Los Angeles, Virginia, and London. Their favorite dishes include Italian and French cuisine as well as most seafood.

Greg & Alisha Hanoian
presently live in Rumford, Rhode Island, and both hail from Seekonk. Greg has played in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, and has enjoyed some great meals during his cross country travels. He started at fullback for Syracuse University in 2004. Their favorites include Filet Mignon, Omaha Steaks, and Maine Lobster.
