Review
Hamersley's is a
warm and romantic French bistro located in Boston's South End. The
intimate dining room illuminates with a radiant yellow glow, providing
guests with a comforting ambiance. The menu is limited, but manages to
offer selections for everyone, including vegetarian, meat, and seafood
offerings. A number of eclectic entrees are offered, ranging from
Roasted Pumpkin & Pappardelle with
Toasted Sage Sauce to Seared Scallops with Hot & Spicy Peppers, Jasmine Rice,
& Coconut Chutney. I began my meal with a Tomato
Mozzarella Salad, opted for Tenderloin of Beef and Blue Cheese with Port
and Dried Cherry Sauce as my entree, and finished with a nice rendition of a
Peach Pie. Everything was prepared to perfection. The wine list was
equally impressive. Service was attentive and friendly, but not over the
top. Pricing is high, but on par with other restaurants of its caliber.
Parking can be tough in the South End, save the frustration and make us
of the moderately-priced valet. - Kim |
