Tucked away among the boutiques along Charles Street on historic Beacon
Hill is this unassuming French bistro. Upon entering the small,
intimate dining room, the sights and smells of French cuisine waft from
chef Evan Deluty's kitchen. After deliberating over the menu, we asked
for suggestions from our friendly and knowledgeable server, and his
recommendations turned out to be spot-on. The Monkfish with White Bean
Ragout & Balsamic Brown Butter Sauce was "melt in your mouth delicious",
as was the Pan-Seared Hangar Steak with Potato Gratin & Truffle
Vinaigrette. Be aware that due to the small dining room, your fellow
diners tend to be closer than you may want, especially on busy Friday
and
Saturday nights. Prices are extremely reasonable, given the haughty
location. Torch provided a wonderful dining experience and we'll be sure
to return. -Greg & Kristen |
