I’ve been to
many of the best burger joint across the country, and I have to say that
Wild Willy’s ranks right up there among the best of them. While a tough
choice, its also my pick for Boston’s best burger. The Watertown Square
location is designed to look like an old-time country saloon, complete with
tavern doors and cowboy décor. The menu offers up about fifteen burger varieties,
among which my favorites are the "Wicked Good" (sautéed onions and mushrooms
with Swiss and cheddar cheeses - and it is indeed wicked good) and the Bubba BBQ (BBQ sauce, hickory-smoked
bacon, cheddar cheese, onion – hold the pickles). Don’t expect fast food
service – order up and expect about a fifteen minute wait while they grill your
burger to perfection. While you wait, sip on some of Wild Willy’s
outstanding Draft Root Beer - absolutely not to be missed. A selection of beer and wine is also
available. Lastly, If you find yourself in York, Maine or Rochester, NH,
make your way over to Wild Willy’s other outposts. -Mike |
